We recently returned from 2 *** weeks in Madagascar. Driving from the capital down to Ifaty on the south-west coast and then flying back to our starting point. On the way, we visited some wonderful National Parks and Reserves, some fascinating towns and villages, saw lots and lots of lemurs, chameleons and other wildlife and birds (the main purpose of our trip) and even climbed a mountain!
The whole thing was exceptionally well organised by Madagascar Grace Tours. The owner, Fanja, met with us in Antananarivo before we set off on our adventure and again at the end when she greeted us like long lost friends with hugs and a box of Madagascan chocs! We really appreciated that personal touch. She kept in close contact with our driver/guide, Haingo, the whole way and he was really fantastic too. Nothing was too much trouble and they made the trip both stress free and truly memorable. We couldn’t recommend them more highly. We’d love to go back and see more of the country one day and would definitely want to go with Madagascar Grace Tours (and Haingo!) again.

Madagascar Grace Tours was named in our guidebook. It is an officially registered tour operator and we have only had good experiences booking our tour with them.

Fanja (the manager) is very friendly and speaks perfectly German. She answered all emails within a short time and considered price restrictions from our side as well as special hotel requests we had.

Single elements of the tour we had booked on our own in advance. They were integrated in the tour without any problem.

After the tour was set up and the price agreed, a contract was signed from both sides and an advance payment was requested (done with foreign bank transfer). The rest was paid on-site when the tour started in cash.

There was a welcome meeting during the first days with Fanja doing a short briefing regarding the tour.

We were picked up by the English-speaking driver of the agency on the second day in Antananarivo. He was an excellent and very experienced guide. He arranged everything, was very professional and knew a lot about the country, people and traditions, flora and fauna. And he had a great humor. We had a lot of fun together. His name was Naina and we can recommend asking for him when booking a tour with Madagascar Grace Tours.

The car was very comfortable and in a good condition.

We had 7 days with the guide and drove from Tana to Antsirabe, Ranomafana, Ranohira (Isalo National Park) and ended in Ifaty. Three days on the beach we were on our own. After that we had a flight from Tulear to Morondava. Unfortunately the flight was canceled by the airline and replaced by a flight via Tana. Here we received great support from the Agency to confirm the flight changes with the airline (this was not possible via the internet), although the flight was booked by us and not via Madagascar Grace Tours.

In Morondava Madagascar Grace Tours organized a local driver with a 4x4 Mitsubishi in a very good condition to bring us the difficult road to the Tsingy the Bemaraha National Park. It was a 4-day-tour including the big Tsingy, small Tsingy and a boat trip on the Marambolo river.

In total an adventurous trip. It rained a little bit on the way there, what makes the driving really challenging from one second to the other. But our driver was very good as well as our car.

To enjoy the last days of our whole trip we spent some days at the Beach in Belo sur Mer. In total it were 3 very exciting and diverse weeks. Thank you to Madagascar Grace Tour for the great organization and the support.

I just completed a 5 day trip to Anatananarivo and Andasibe National Park. We just had a few days to spend, but the tour operator made it possible for us to see and do quite a bit.
They met us at the airport and checked in with us twice more during the trip. We had a wonderful driver who was pleasant, informative and accommodating. Our wildlife guides were excellent!
Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend working with this company.

They helped us plan a packed itinerary of the island which included visiting the breathtaking island of Sainte-Marie, a private guide around the mainland before finishing our travels with a restful break on the tranquil island of Nosy Be. We have fond and lasting memories of Madagascar - the whale watching off Sainte-Marie is something we will never forget.
